Elevate Her Retreat: Costa Rica 2025
Join us for a transformative week in Costa Rica with the Elevate Her Retreat, where personal growth meets global impact! Spend seven days immersed in a community of like-minded girls your age, as you build leadership skills and make a real difference through community service and hands-on projects. You won't just volunteer—you'll experience the richness of another culture, gaining insights into its values and way of life.
Through yoga, mindfulness practices, and social-emotional learning activities, you'll deepen your self-awareness, boost your confidence, and leave feeling empowered. With dedicated time for mentorship and self-discovery, you'll strengthen not only your leadership abilities but also your resilience and sense of connection. This retreat is a perfect blend of growth, learning, and unforgettable memories.
The retreat will be led by New Heights Founder and Director Kaitlyn Burke and Rize Girl Founder Jessica Burke. Together, we will lead a group of 20 young girls and women to Costa Rica to inspire change and positively impact our global community.
Trip Details & Community Impact
We are partnering with Glasswing International and their renowned Girls Club program in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Our work will involve empowering local girls through leadership and community-building activities. Together, we'll paint classrooms, build gardens, supply new learning materials, and assist with renovations to create an improved learning environment. In addition to our service work, we'll teach basketball skills and immerse ourselves in Costa Rican culture, forging lasting connections along the way.
After working with Glasswing International, the girls will explore the natural beauty of Costa Rica, visiting a national park, the stunning Nauyaca Waterfalls, and the vibrant town of Uvita, where the ocean meets the land.
Beyond outreach, New Heights and Rize coaches will guide participants in building leadership skills they can use to navigate key transitions in their lives—whether it's moving from elementary to high school or high school to university. The trip will provide an amazing opportunity for mentorship and confidence-building. Daily activities will include thoughtfully designed workshops, yoga sessions, basketball games, and plenty of physical activity to keep things fun and engaging.
Program Dates
The retreat will take place from June 29 to July 6, 2025.
Leading up to the trip, participants will have opportunities to build skills through leadership workshops, fundraising efforts, Spanish language practice, and team-building activities, setting the foundation for a truly impactful experience.
