Julie Seabrook

On the Court

Julie brings an incredible amount of international playing experience to our New Heights coaching staff. A native of North Vancouver, Julie went from to Carson Graham Secondary and went on to receive a full ride division one scholarship from the University of Colorado. Julie held 69 consecutive starts to finish off her university career and was named team captain in her junior and senior years.

Julie has represented team Canada on several occasions. She was a member of the Junior National Team that competed in Bratislava, Slovakia at the U19 World Championship, the Junior National Team that competed in Bangkok, Thailand at the U19 World Championships and in 2011 on the Canadian Development National Team that competed in Shenzhen, China at the World University Games. Julie also participated in the National Elite Development Academy (NEDA), which brought together the top 12 players from across Canada for their final year of High school.

Currently, Julie plays professionally for the SBK Olimpia team in Belarus and has played in the Euro League, Baltic League, and Belarussian Premier League. Prior to playing for SBK Olimpia, she played for Pallacanestro Bellinzona in Bellinzona, Switzerland. Julie was named to the 2nd Team All-Belarusian League, was 2 time Baltic League Player of the Week and 3 time Belarussian Premier League Player of the Week. She was also named to the All-Imports Team Switzerland LNA and Honourable Mention Switzerland LNA in 2013.

Off the Court

Julie graduated from the Leeds School of Business for Colorado, University. She was a two-time member of the Academic All-Big 12 Women's Basketball squad, a first team selection in 2010 and a second team pick in 2011. Julie also received honourable mention to the Pac-12 All-Academic Women's Basketball team. During her time at Colorado she was named a member of the Big 12 Chick-fil-A Community of Champions, awarded for academics, community service, leadership and sportsmanship. Julie was also a member of the Community Service Chair of CU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
