Chantelle Burke
On the Court
Chantelle had a very successful high school career at Argyle Secondary, where she won numerous awards, including best defensive player at the Lower Mainland Championships. Chantelle not only excelled at basketball, but she was a multi-sport athlete who won Athlete of the Year five times and a team cross-country provincial championship in her grade 12 year.
Chantelle has been a coach at New Heights since its inception, coaching our U13 Metro teams, Grade 5-7 Skills and Development training as well as our Grade 1-4 Learn the Game programs. Chantelle brings an incredible amount of energy, positive attitude, passion and skill to each training session.
Chantelle has previously coached several elementary school basketball teams and was the team trainer and manager for the Thompson Rivers University Men's Basketball team from 2006-2007.
Off the Court
Chantelle received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Thompson Rivers University and went on to also receive her teaching degree in May 2014. Chantelle works full time as a grade one teacher in the West Vancouver School District. Chantelle is also a youth mentor and volunteer with SOLE Girls and has worked with children through various programs at the North Vancouver Rec Commission for over 12 years. We are very excited to have Chantelle as a part of our team as she has tremendous experience working with children and youth as well as a passion for basketball and coaching.
